This great bar in the heart of North Beach has new owners (we said that in January 2007) and while they seemed to support the blues, after a while they're boosting rock, tribute, rock tribute, ska, hip hop, alternative country and comedy. And jazz.
The Grant & Green has a great blues history, as Tommy Castro cut his teeth with a regular weeknight gig here, and he was by no means the only one: Ron Hacker, Daniel Castro, Chris Cobb, Johnny Nitro, Mojo Madness and more have all been Grant & Green regulars. We hope we hear that they're bringing the blues back to the G&G. Meanwhile go up the street to The Saloon.
