Named for founder Laura "Lou" Gillespie, who still makes an occasional graceful appearance, Lou's Pier 47 draws both Fisherman's Wharf tourists and local blues fans. Good food in the downstairs restaurant (like chowder bread bowls in which real pieces of clams may be found) and upstairs in the club too, with music at almost all times -- two and sometimes even three bands per day.
Most of the acts described on SFBlues.net appear at Lou's. Excellently located dance floor; dancers don't block the view of the band.
