Leah Tysse

"She's got an intuitive feel for the fire and core of a song, and brings that to the audience with both intense conviction and a steely soulfulness" says Joseph Jordan of Southland Blues Magazine. Having sung in large stage productions from a very young age, Leah is a twenty-year veteran of the stage at the age of 29. From 1994 to 1997, she was a featured soloist in an all-female a cappella group before moving to Paris to work as a blues and R&B vocalist for a popular nightclub. Upon returning to the U.S. in 1998, Leah joined the Glide Memorial Church Ensemble where she solos regularly.

Leah is the lead vocalist for The Chris Cobb Band, The Backburner Blues Band and The Popcorn Pimps. She is currently recording her own original CD which will be available in the coming months.
