Not easily labeled, this funk blues specialist makes his Telecaster all but speak at San Francisco clubs including Lou's Pier 47, The Saloon, The Baltic in Richmond. and such regional venues as Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz and The Torch Club in Sacramento.

Daniel's sparkling new No Surrender CD goes like hotcakes at the gigs. There's something very special about Daniel's guitar playing, it's precise yet personal, melodic and percussive too. He looks like the baddest-ass mofo you'll ever meet anywhere but it ain't the case -- he's about as generous and easy-going as they come. Lately Daniel's got the likewise percussionally awesome (erudite and handsome too) T. Moran on drums, Kevin White on bass, Michael Emerson on keyboards and, occasionally, the inestimable Larry Dunn on guitar.
