Another San Francisco local (by way of Dallas) with a hot, hotnew CD is Cathy Lemons. She's got past credits including Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lee Hooker, Charlie Musselwhite and Mark Hummel. Now backed by partner Johnny Ace on bass, her new Dark Roadalbum features guitar work by old friends including Tommy Castro, Steve Freund and Rusty Zinn. Standout originals include the Dark Roadtitle cut (Steve Freund on guitar) and Let Me Be Good,on which Mr. Castro shows how very good he really is.

The Cathy Lemons Band has the Sunday night slot at Biscuits and Blues, and makes regular appearances at venues including The Saloon and Lou's Pier 47.
